Today's Quick Mention:  I'm already seeing Pavement in Berkeley on June 25, but now that Gary Young (the original drummer) will be playing the show in Stockton the night before, I'm in interested in that one as well.  What do you guys think?  Should I do Pavement shows back to back?

I've been very eager for something new from Black Mountain since the band announced their third full length earlier in the year, and now my dream has come true.  Victory!  Check out the first single below.  Wilderness Heart isn't due for release by Jagjaguwar until the super far away date of September 14, so get ready to exude the patience I don't have.  Enjoy.

:Black Mountain - Old Fangs:  The band's last album might actually be my favorite psych-rock album ever, so I have to admit I came into this hoping for a continuation of those songs.  And?  Well, this definitely doesn't sound like it belongs on In The Future, but it does feel like a natural progression for them, and I'm pretty impressed with how easy they've made that process look.  This is a killer track.
