 ... and call me Brad.

For however long John deems it appropriate, I’ll be dropping by every couple of weeks to share a little.  That said, let me get straight into doing what I like best - sharing some love by sharing some music.  First up on my round is the Kiwi Bedouin known through his musical guise as Lawrence Arabia.

This one-man coterie runs up as the musical personality of Christchurch native James Milne, a man that’s dabbled his freelance work into the Brunettes, Feist, and Okkervil River. Regardless of this resume, Lawrence Arabia represents none of these bands.  No, in all his musical wanderings, he’s only taken and honed in on his skills as a songwriter and artist.  Lawrence Arabia is otherwise entirely James Milne, and Milne is a paradox. Milne takes a look at the good ole' days and slaps it with today’s bit of irony, effectively creating what Milne pens as "new old-fashioned pop music."  Lawrence Arabia harbors a collection of wistful pop gems with a penchant for quirk and quibble.  Nostalgic, harmonious and catchy - Lawrence Arabia is set to soundtrack your day to the tune of sunshine daisies and buttercup yellows.

When he’s not sleeping or being lazy, Brad writes and creates for Both Sides of the Mouth.  If you’d like to reach him regarding his writings here on Side One: Track One, feel free to contact him here.
