Today's Quick Mention: Tonight I get to
see Christopher Nolan's Inception, and I am
what could easily be described as more than excited.
Be sure to check the
film
section around midnight or so for what I expect to
be a glowing and overly positive breakdown (spoiler
free, of course).
Ever since they announced an EP, I've been meaning
to seek out and listen to what the Dirty Projectors
and Bjork managed to create together. So, this
weekend I did just that. I don't know if I
actually really like it or just think it's neat to
experience such abstract artists in cohorts with
each other, but Mount Wittenberg Orca is at
least interesting. Enjoy.

Projectors And Bjork - When The World Comes To An End:
I wouldn't go as far as saying Bjork came in and made the
Dirty Projectors weirder or more experimental, but her
presence alone definitely gives them a different, more
dramatic edge. Does that make it all a bit too much?
Maybe. But it's also surprisingly infectious, so
you'll probably be wrapped up in it before you feel
overwhelmed by all the ideas, sounds and vocal layers.
