Rundown
Kevin Bacon has
joined X-Men: First Class as a currently unknown
villain. Aaron Johnson (Kick Ass) will play the
role of Cyclops.
It's so very quirky and indie it hurts my brain, but Jack
Goes Boating still looks good. See the
trailer.
Harold And Kumar will be going on a third adventure.
This time it's said to be based around Christmas.
Denzel Washington may star in Safe House, which is
about a CIA agent trying to save a prisoner from being
assassinated.
There's now a
trailer for Welcome To The Riley's.
Looks very dramatic.
There was a rumor floating around that the director's chair
for the Superman reboot had been offered to
Christopher Columbus (Mrs. Doubtfire), but it has
been proven to not be true.
I had my doubts that they'd pull of anything interesting,
but Green Hornet doesn't look half bad. Check

Not exactly movie news, but Mike Judge is said to be working
on thirty new episodes of Beavis And Butthead.
For some reason, Saw VII will now be called Saw
3D: The Trap Comes Alive. On a similar lame note,
the next Final Destination may be called 5nal
Destination.
No. That's all I have to say about the Let Me In
trailer.
Sam Raimi let it slip that he isn't completely signed and
good to go on Oz: The Great And Powerful. He's
also apparently still trying very hard to make a World Of
Warcraft movie.
Rumor has it that Sherlock Holmes 2 could start
shooting as early as this fall.
Robert Rodriguez has now mentioned Spy Kids 4: Armageddon
as his next project. Who knows if Sin City 2,
Red Sonja or any of his other zillion announced
projects will ever get made.
Because of money woes, MGM has canned the next Bond
movie. Fortunately, Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig have
both said they will return to the project once it's green
lit again.
There's a new
trailer for Paranormal Activity 2.
Are you scared? Or something.
Supposedly, Marvel has decided to not bring Edward Norton
back as Bruce Banner/Hulk in The Avengers. They
would apparently like to go with an unknown.
Andy Serkis will join James Franco, Frieda Pinto and John
Lithgow in Rise Of The Apes.
The Social Network has gotten a
really cool teaser. This could be a
good one.
Christian Bale will star in The Last Photograph.
The movie is said to be about a photograph that causes two
people to make a journey through a war-torn Afghanistan.
It would appear that George Miller is ready to do back to
back Mad Max films. One will be called
Thunder Road, the other Furiosa. Both will
be shot in 3D and will feature FX work by Weta.
Gore Verbinski recently noted that he is still trying to get
a Bioshock movie made.
Nothing about this Eat Pray Love
trailer looks interesting. Sorry,
Julia Roberts.
Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus)
has been cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Eric Bana will play special agent Nick Stone in the big
screen adaptation of the character that has appeared in
double digit books by Andy McNab. The movie will be
called Echelon. No word yet on a release date.
Javier Bardem, Christopher Walken and Johnny Hallyday have
signed on to appear in Tony Scott's Potzdamer Platz.
The movie is said to be about a crime family that tries to
expand internationally.
Not familiar with Animal Kingdom, but the
trailer looks OK.
Joe Wright (Atonement) is reportedly looking at
trying to do a live action Little Mermaid film.
Jet Li is all set to star in a remake of Dragon Inn.
Colin Farrell is rumored to have been cast as Ozzy Osbourne
in the biopic that's currently being written about the
rocker.
