I know we barely know each other, but I love you guys - fellow music nerds.  Of my social wanderings, I find other music enthusiasts to be the best of company.  I’d hit you up with a hug, but the internet doesn’t really accommodate that happening.  Instead, the best sort of lovin' I can ever give a reader as a blogger is a great band … with lots of free downloads, so c’mere ya big lug, I’ve got some lovin’ to share!

Offering themselves as a two-for-one deal, Magic Man is actually a duo based in Boston.  Following the case that two heads are better than one, Alex Caplow and Sam Lee come together as Magic Man to make some truly magical music.  During their wanderings in France as farm workers, Caplow and Lee recorded much of Magic Man’s discography after a hard day’s work.  As agricultural vagabonds, the duo had little more to work with than the bare bones logistics of an acoustic guitar and a Macbook.  The result?  A fantastically lo-fi collection of electro-pop.  It’s synthetic, yet entirely natural or organic a sound that they developed and grew out on those farm fields.  With a magnetic energy and sweeping synths, Magic Man’s music carries an almost anthemic feel that provides a sense of some sort of culminating awesomeness on the horizon.  Magic Man is dreamy optimism, and best of all, Magic Man is free.
