Movie News
Rundown
Pierre Morel
has not only replaced Peter Berg as the director of Dune,
but he has thrown out the script and is starting from
scratch. This movie may never get made.
She's Out Of My League has a red band trailer now.
See it
here. Its age verification thing is a little wonky, so
just know you might have to enter in your info a couple of
times.
Mel Gibson is in talks to star in Cold Warrior. The
movie is said to follow a spy who comes out of retirement to
stop a terrorist.
Rumor has it that Patrick Stewart may be in Mad Max: Fury
Road.
The Losers
trailer is up. Looks very A-Team-ish. But that
isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Jason Bobin (Flight Of The Conchords) is the rumored
top choice to direct a new Muppets movie.
Director Lee Daniels is going to follow up Precious
with Selma, which deals with the Alabama Governor who
refused to de-segregate his state. Robert De Niro will
star.
Looks like Robert Downey Jr. has been replaced by Daniel
Craig in Cowboys And Aliens. Supposedly it was due
to a scheduling conflict.
And, of course, that scheduling conflict seems as though
it’s Sherlock Holmes 2, which has also caused
director Guy Ritchie to cease work on Lobo.
Will Ferrell will star in I Do: How To Get Married And
Stay Single, which follows a 40-something man who has a
friend leave him at the altar so that his family will stop
pressuring him to get married.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps now has a
teaser. It actually looks pretty entertaining.
Miramax has officially closed up shop.
Orlando Bloom has confirmed that he won’t be making an
appearance in the next Pirates film.
Sam Worthington has reportedly been chosen to star in Alex
Proyas’ Dracula: Year Zero.
Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams will star in Take This
Waltz, which is about a woman who is addicted to the
honeymoon period of relationships.
Guy Pearce and Mary-Louise Parker will star in The Well.
No word yet on exactly what it’s about.
