should consider heading down to Waterloo Records at 4pm for a free
performance
from Spoon. My guess is that they'll mostly play new tunes, which will
be fun since their upcoming LP is one of the more anticipated releases of
2010.
Lara Meyerratken has been around for almost a decade working as a freelance
musician
(her
list of associates includes:
Ben Lee, Luna, Nada Surf, Crooked Fingers, Dar Williams, Luscious Jackson
and more), so I suppose it was only a matter of time before she decided to
do her own thing. Look for the self titled debut album from El May on
store shelves now. Enjoy.
