Today's Quick Mention: Have you guys seen
this stuff about The Octopus Project playing in
"surround sound" during SXSW? It's apparently
called Hexadecagon and features a unique
setup involving audio and video. Could be
cool. There are two free shows lined up.

I've been waiting for The Black Angels to mount a
comeback (or at least release that Roky Erickson
covers disc) for an eternity now, so it was nice
when their guest spot on the new UNKLE disc landed
in my inbox yesterday. Here's hoping more new
stuff isn't too far behind. Where Did The
Night Fall is out May 11, and it also features
Autolux, Katrina Ford and a handful of other great
acts. Enjoy.

- Natural Selection (Featuring The Black Angels):
The fine folks that make up The Black Angels never put out
anything that isn't thick and borderline non-accessible, so
to hear them in an almost playful manner is a bit bizarre.
But, the track works (in an almost Interpol-esque fashion,
actually) and I'm definitely at the point of being
interested in listening to them do more of the same.
