Today's Quick Mention:  According to Alexa's almighty interweb service, SOTO is most frequented by "females who are in the age range of 18-24, have no children, are college educated and browse the site from work."  I wasn't aware we were such a draw for the ladies.  Where you at, fellas?

You never know what you're going to get when an artist takes a "new" approach to making music, but it appears to have worked out well (see the snazzy tune below) for Club 8, who for their sixth LP used a producer for the first time and based many of their songs on rhythms from albums made in West Africa during the 70s.  The People's Record is due May 18 on Labrador.  Enjoy.

:Club 8 - Western Hospitality:  This duo has arguably been the best at crafting beautiful and dreamy Swedish pop gems over the last few years, so it's a little weird to hear them doing something so different.  Still, this is a great track, and it certainly has me convinced that Karolina Komstedt and Johan Angergard can pull off whatever sound they choose.  Have fun dancing to this for the rest of the day (or week).
