Today's Quick Mention: Hard to believe that
a plane was purposely slammed into a building full
of people ... in Austin. Talk about giving a
guy reason to be paranoid. Be careful out
there, folks. You never know when someone has
really had enough.
Ted Leo And The
Pharmacists are primed to release a new album, and I
honestly don't know if I'm excited it or not.
Why? Because the first track I heard off of
the LP was borderline terrible. Fortunately
though, I
found a much better one (see below), but who knows
which we'll get more of on March 8 when The
Brutalist Bricks storms store shelves.
Guess we'll see. Enjoy.

Leo And The Pharmacists - The Mighty Sparrow:
I think part of what I disliked about the aforementioned
Even Heroes Have To Die was that it was bland beyond
belief. This, while not exactly bringing anything new
to the table, is fun, confident and overwhelmingly
accessible. Or, in other words, it's classic Ted/Rx.
Be sure to mark your calendar to see them rock the Parish on
March 31. It'll be a great show to help you get back
into the swing of things with after SXSW.
