Today's Quick Mention: So the Strokes are
readying a new album to be released later this year.
Are you guys still interested in them as a group?
I can't make up my mind. Whatever they do will
probably be good, but there is part of me that would
prefer seeing another Little Joy or Albert Hammond
Jr. effort.
I'm actually off work today
(Hooray President's Day!), so I spent the morning
browsing around for something interesting, and what
I ended up with was a cover of Eye Of The Tiger
by the Rural Alberta Advantage and a new tune
from Aloha. Honestly, the former kind of
weirded me out, so today's focus is all on the
latter, who will put out Home Acres on March
9 via Polyvinyl. Enjoy.

- Moonless March:
I didn't realize it until today, but this is Aloha's fifth
full length. Most bands kind of fizzle out by this
point and either try something "new" or just break up, and
yet this sounds as inspired and energetic as any other pop
song I've come across in 2010. Can't wait to hear
more. On a related note, anyone have those early
efforts? I'd like to check those out.
