Today's Quick Mention:  If you don't have any plans tomorrow night then I highly recommend seeing Mono and Balmorhea at Emo's.  Both put on great shows (especially if you love instrumental music), and you won't regret being in attendance.  Plus, it's Mono's last US appearance in 2010!  See them now.

Not surprisingly, the net sort of exploded with excitement when a brand new track from Interpol was put up for download yesterday.  Actually, no one paid any attention to that.  I mean Sleigh Bells, the bombastic duo from Brooklyn, New York who will release the sure to be great Treats via MIA's N.E.E.T. Recordings on May 11.  Enjoy.

:Sleigh Bells - Tell Em:  Before I had the chance to actually download this I repeatedly read that it was being considered one of the year's best tracks, and that didn't surprise me.  After all, Sleigh Bells are a buzz band and their full length is highly anticipated.  But you know what?  I didn't think it would be this badass.  No one turns it to 11 like they do, and if you haven't jumped on the bandwagon then be prepared to be wildly thrust upon it with no regard for your life.
