Movie News
Rundown
Due to MGM's
money woes, the next Bond flick has been put on hold.
Columbia is trying very hard to do another Ghost Rider
movie (with or without Nicolas Cage). Apparently the
rights revert back to Marvel in November of this year.
Pixar has confirmed that they're working on Monsters Inc.
2. A release date of November 16, 2012 has
been set.
Breck Eisner is in talks to direct a Escape From New York
remake. No word yet on whether or not Gerard Butler is
still attached to star.
In 3D news ... both The Last Airbender and Green
Hornet will be in 3D. Men In Black 3
probably will be. Batman 3 more than likely
won't.
Speaking of The Last Airbender, it has a new
trailer. Can't say I'm overly
intrigued just yet.
Helen Mirren and Russel Brandt will star in a re-imagining
of Arthur. The new story is said to follow a rich kid
who consults his nanny about relationship decisions that
could cost him his fortune.
There's a rumor that Kristen Stewart may be cast in
Wanted 2.
The
trailer for Adrien Brody's High School
looks insane.
Dwayne Johnson has replaced Clive Owen in Protection,
which follows a Special Forces soldier trying to protect a
girl who has been targeted by a cartel.
Seth Rogen and Chris Pine may star opposite Reese
Witherspoon in This Means War. The plot
apparently deals with two roommates fighting over the woman
that's just moved into their spare bedroom. McG might
direct.
Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland) will
direct Important Artifacts. The movie is said
to be a romantic comedy and will star Brad Pitt and Natalie
Portman.
Warner Bros. has starting working on a Treasure Island
movie.
Cameron Diaz and Benicio Del Toro may star together in a
romantic comedy called An Ex To Grind. That
should be all you need to know.
For reasons totally unknown, Mickey Rourke is going to play
Genghis Kahn in an upcoming biopic based on the famous
MONGOLIAN ruler.
Hadn't previously heard of Kisses, but the
trailer looks entertaining.
The Friday The 13th sequel is officially dead.
Same goes for sequels to Inside Man and The Thomas
Crown Affair.
Jack Nicholson will star in what's said to be an "older"
version of the Hangover. It's called LASt
VEGAS.
Martin Lawrence says that he, Will Smith and Michael Bay
have had talks about Bad Boys 3.
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) is set to direct an adaptation
of the comic The Black Pearl, which is about a man
who turns vigilante by accident.
Zooey Deschanel may play Ada Lovelace in Enchantress Of
Numbers. Lovelace was a writer in the 19th centry
that helped make machines that could do more than simple
math.
Not sure what to make of the
trailer for The Disappearance Of Alice
Creed.
Woody Allen's next film has been given the title of
