Rundown
Sam Claflin has
been cast as Philip in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On
Stranger Tides. The role is supposedly a fairly
big one.
Both scripts for the two part Hobbit are reportedly
done. If only MGM could get the money together to
actually put the films into production.
The Jonah Hex trailer is supposed to make its debut
in front of The Nightmare On Elm Street when it opens
on April 30. Early word has been very far from
positive, so it'll be interesting to finally see something
from the film with my own eyes.
Olivia Munn is rumored to have a small cameo as The Wasp in
Iron Man 2.
Not many trailers this week, but there is this
one for Ondine, which looks pretty
interesting.
Joss Whedon is not only directing The Avengers, but
he's said to be re-writing it and Captain America.
Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner and Alicia Silverstone have
signed on to star in Butter, which follows a young
girl (Silverstone) who discovers she's really good at
carving butter.
Darren Aronofsky and Rachel Weisz may be teaming up to make
a Jackie O) biopic.
Hayley Atwell (and surprisingly not Alice Eve) has been cast
as the love interest Peggy Carter in Captain America.
Sharlto Copley (District 9) is in talks to star in
I Am Number Four. He would play an alien mentor to
some refugees from his now destroyed planet.
Adam Sandler has a new
movie. It's called Grown Ups.
Seth McFarlane will make his directorial debut with Ted.
The R-rated comedy will supposedly be a mix of CG and live
action and will center around a man and his teddy bear.
The suit that Ryan Reynolds will sport in Green Lantern
is said to be entirely CG.
Curtis Hanson is going to direct a movie based on Bill
Anthony Jakob, who was found out to not be an actual cop
after he made a series of meth busts.
Jake Gyllenhaal has signed on to play Joe Namath in the
creatively titled Namath. James Mangold might
direct.
Sam Rockwell and Scarlett Johansson will star in Lunatic
At Large, which follows a couple on the strange night in
which they first meet.
There's a chance that the new Jack Ryan movie (starring
Chris Pine) may be called Moscow. The story
will supposedly follow the character during the time in
which he served as a market analyst.
Looks as though Robert Rodriguez's Machete will be
out Labor Day weekend.
