Today's Quick Mention:  Record Store Day is tomorrow!  Even if you don't have a machine that will actually play an LP, I still recommend that you go out and buy something from your local shop(s).  It'll be good for you.  And the economy.  And the United States Of America.  You're not a terrorist, are you?

All kinds of fancy tracks from big name acts fell into my lap yesterday, but I couldn't seem to make time for any of them because of Take, a beat maker from LA.  Yes, that's right, a beat maker.  Weird (to me anyway).  Alpha Pup Records will release Only Mountain next Tuesday, and I believe it'll be worth your time.  Enjoy.

:Take - Neon Beams:  I've never been one to find remixes or guitar-less instrumental music to be very appealing (or listenable, for that matter), but I really love this track.  Its runtime is under four minutes, so it never wanders off into the realm of over-indulgent electronic wizardry, and the overall sound is just spruced up and layered enough that you aren't only left with the big beat that drives it.  Great stuff.  Listen with headphones.
