Today's Quick Mention:  Lost is on tonight.  Only a handful of episodes left.  Are you guys still with it?  Or have you given up and moved on with your life?  I'm hanging on tight, but I have to admit that I'm a little weary about it wrapping up as nice and neat as I would like it to.

As can be the case sometimes, Maps And Atlases are a band that I've heard about repeatedly, but never really taken the time to fully check out.  Honestly, that's not very cool of me, so it's time to change that before Barsuk releases the band's debut.  Perch Patchwork will hit store shelves on June 29, and I have the stellar first single below.  Enjoy.

:Maps And Atlases - Solid Ground:  This is a fairly short track (it's just a tad under three minutes), but even after double digit listens it still amazes me as to how it sounds and feels like this huge, sonically complex composition that also features a slow build to a climax.  It's crazy.  You'll want headphones for this.  Also, if all of the album is this wonderfully layered then we'll be in for one hell of a listen.
