Rundown
Angelina
Jolie's Salt has a new
trailer. Looks like your fairly
standard action fluff.
Joss Whedon is said to be on the shortlist of possible
directors for The Avengers.
Now that it's gone from happening to not happening, XXX 3
is now happening. Rob Cohen will return as director,
Vin Diesel will star and it will be shot in 3D.
Hooray.
The
trailer for
Splice is pretty badass. Could be good sci-fi
thriller fun.
Now that Chris Evans has been cast as Captain America,
Sebastian Stan has been announced as the sidekick Bucky
Barnes.
Speaking of Captain America, Emily Blunt has
reportedly turned down the role of Peggy Carter (the love
interest).
Warner Bros. have setup a remake of Private Benjamin.
Anna Faris is said to be starring.
As expected, The Expendables
looks pretty awesome.
Will Smith and Roland Emmerich are said to both be locked in
to do two sequels (shot back to back in 2011) to
Independence Day.
George Romero is back with another zombie flick. It's
called Survival Of The Dead. The
trailer looks OK.
Matthew Vaughn will reportedly follow up Kick Ass
with an adaptation of the comic Bloodshot.
Rumor has it that The Hobbit keeps getting delayed
due to MGM's money woes.
Cameron Crowe is said to be close to being ready to make the
Marvin Gaye biopic he's been working on for almost four
years.
Ryan Reynolds will star in R.I.P.D. The comic
adaptation is said to follow a cop who has to team with an
old gunslinger to police the dead.
Ben Stiller and Noah Baumbach may team up again for Mr.
Popper's Penguins, which is about a painter who one day
randomly receives a shipment of penguins.
Henry Selick (Coraline) is said to be returning to
Disney/Pixar with a long term deal to make stop motion
films.
Doug Liman is in talks to direct the Three Musketeers
re-imagining.
Paul Greengrass may direct a 3D remake of The Fantastic
Voyage.
It looks as though Leonardo DiCaprio will play J. Edgar
Hoover in Clint Eastwood's Hover.
Not surprisingly, everything is all set and ready to go on
Hangover 2. The movie is set to be released in
2011.
There's a rumor floating around that Rachel Weisz could play
the leader of the Quantum Organization in the next Bond
movie.
