Today's Quick Mention: I only managed to go 10-6 in my NFL game
picks this week, but my fantasy football team emerged victorious and I got
to be in Arlington to see the Dallas Cowboys get their first official win in
that incredible new stadium. Not bad, yeah?
It wasn't but a couple of weeks ago that I shared the first single from Thao
Nguyen And The Get Down Stay Down's new full length, but this morning I
awoke to another track, and since it sounds so completely different I
decided to post it up. Know Better, Learn Faster is due out via
Kill Rocks Stars on October 13. It will be awesome. Enjoy.

Nguyen And The Get Down Stay Down - When We Swam:
The band had told me to expect part of Know Better, Learn
Faster to have some hip hop-esque moments, and this
finally shows that off a bit. Honestly, I've heard
quite a few new songs live and, of course, the
aforementioned track from just the other week, so I really
don't know if the band goes this direction often on the new
album. Hopefully, they do, because this just about the
most infectious thing I've heard all year.
