If I wasn't concerned with watching 12 hours of pro football today I think I'd be cycling through my favorite Patrick Swayze flicks.  What an actor.  I mean, how many people could really do something like Dirty Dancing, and then even be remotely considered for a role in anything as badass as Roadhouse?

- The Rundown -
 

Some are saying that because of the sudden ousting of chairman Dick Cook at Disney, there will be no Pirates Of The Caribbean 4.  Apparently, Cook and Johnny Depp are very close.

Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood will be teaming up for another film.  No word yet on the plot, but it will be called Hereafter, and it was written by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon).

John Logan (Gladiator) has signed on to adapt The Passages, which is about vampires that have been genetically engineered by the government.

It's rumored that Steven Spielberg would like Robert Downey Jr. to star in his remake of Harvey.

Christopher Waltz will replace Nicholas Cage as the villain in the Green Hornet.

Michelle Monaghan has signed on to appear in Todd Phillips' Due Date.

Josh Lucas will join Katherine Hiegel, Josh Duhamel and Christina Hendricks in Life As We Know It.  Supposedly, it's about two unattached friends who are named caregivers to a little girl after their mutual best friends die in a car accident.

Sam Mendes would like to adapt Netherland.  It's said to follow a man in New York City who falls in love with the sport of cricket and then finds a bond with immigrant culture.

LeBron James will play himself in Fantasy Basketball Camp.  The sure to be terrible movie is said to be about a group of kids who drag the NBA star into their various issues.

Zack Galifianakis will appear in It's Kind Of A Funny Story, which will follow a young boy who gets sent to a mental institution because of depression problems.

Tia Carere will play the role of Rell Sunn in Wave Dancer.  Sunn was a surfing legend, and the movie will be about her life.

Gael Garcia Bernal will star opposite Kate Hudson in Earthbound, which is about a terminally ill patient who falls in love with her doctor.

Jessica Biel may be close to joining the cast of the A-Team flick.


Universal and Peter Berg have set a release date of July 1, 2011 for their Battleship movie.

Robert Redford has added James McAvoy and Robin Wright Penn to his Lincoln assassination film, The Conspirator.
