Fantastic Fest is almost here, and I have
once again wavered and talked my myself out of buying a
badge to attend the supposedly awesome film festival.
Feel free to chastise me with all the reasons in the world
for why I should never let this happen again.

Viggo
Mortensen has apparently retired from acting. He says
it's only going to be for a short while, but who knows for
sure what will happen.
There's some speculation that Pirates Of The Caribbean:
On Stranger Tides might be based off a book of the same
name that was written by Tim Powers in the late 80s and
dealt with the Fountain Of Youth.
Disney and Guillermo Del Toro have teamed up to create a new
animated studio titled Double Dare You, which will
apparently make scary animated movies for kids. The
first will be called Trollhunters.
Josh Hartnett has been attached to star in Gunslinger,
which is said to follow two brothers trying to hunt down the
gang that killed their parents in a post-apocalyptic future.
The Coen Brothers have recruited Jeff Bridges to star in
their remake of True Grit.
James Gunn's next flick will be called Super and will
star Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler and Ellen Page. The story
is said to be about a hero named Crimson Bolt who has no
superpowers, just a pipe wrench.
Victor Salva has come out and said that a third Jeepers
Creepers is in the works.
The plot for Cars 2 is said to follow Lightning
McQueen and Mater across seas as they compete in a big race
and do some incidental spy work.
Timothy Dalton will be playing the role of Mr. Pricklepants
in Toy Story 3. The long-awaited third entry in
the series will supposedly follow the toys as they try to
escape a day care where they've been abandoned after Andy
goes off to college.
With the purchase of Marvel by Disney there was some
speculation that Pixar would now take a shot at making
Ant-Man. Maybe. But for now Edgar Wright is
still attached to direct.
Sharlto Copley (District 9) is said to be playing the
role of Howling Mad Murdock in the A-Team movie.
MMA fighter
Quinton (Rampage) Jackson has been cast as BA Baracus.
Warner Bros. has created DC Entertainment to take better
advantage of the brand.
The script for Supermax, which is also known as the
Green Arrow movie, has been bought by Sony.
Nicholas Cage has dropped out of the Green Hornet.
Rambo V will apparently follow the titular character
as he hunts down a government experiment gone wrong.
Ewan McGregor and Eva Green have signed on to star in
Last Days, which follows two people who start to fall in
love as the world ends.
Anton Yelchin has joined the cast of Beaver, which
will directed by Jodie Foster and will star Mel Gibson.
Martial arts star Gina Carano has been cast as the lead in
Steven Soderbergh's Knockout. The movie is said
to be a female spy story.
Peter Berg says that the whole cast is primed to do another
Hancock movie.
