Today's Quick Mention: It's a bit strange, but I love the buzz of a
new Jay-Z album more than I do the actual music. People just lose
their lids when it comes to him, and for whatever reasons I find it really
fascinating. Anyhow, the Blueprint 3 is streaming at
MTV.

Normally, I spend my evenings listening to what has recently arrived in my
inbox and browsing other blogs, but last night I sat down, put on the new
single from Clare And The Reasons and immediately decided that I didn't
really need to bother with anything else. Frog Stand Records will
release Arrow on October 20. Enjoy.

I love how incredibly comfortable this song sounds and
feels. Now, I have no idea what's most responsible for
that - the fact that it was recorded in the duo's apartment,
the lush and pleasantly quirky arrangement or Clare's
endearing vocal style. But, I am aware of how this is
certainly the perfect little tune to help you cruise right
on through hump day.
