Today's Quick Mention:  In case you haven't noticed, Pitchfork has posted up their "Top 50 Music Videos" list.  At the top, somewhat surprisingly, is The White Stripes with Fell In Love With A Girl, and the rest is a semi-balanced mix of pop culture and art.  Not bad.  Check it out.

With a new Why? album just around the corner (Eskimo Snow is due in 21 days), I'm looking for any reason to mention them, and their recent collaboration with Themselves is really an example of perfect timing.  Only, I wish there was more information, as it would appear that the new track seems to have randomly been created by the pair of Anticon acts.  Oh well.  Enjoy.

:Why? And Themselves - Canada:  Before I even gave the song a listen or read a single word from the press release I was expecting the vocal/songwriting combination of Yoni Wolf (Why?) and Doseone (Themselves) to be the most impressive part of the song.  But, while the two of them are certainly good, I think the lush arrangement is where it's at.  Actually, it's undoubtedly what's most worth paying attention to.  This means you need headphones, so grab them, turn this up and try not to zone out for too long.
