Today's Quick Mention:  ACL pretty much gets going for me tonight.  So, as I've said, there won't be any new content here until Monday (maybe Tuesday).  My advice is that you follow me on Twitter if you're curious about what I'll be up to during Austin's huge ass festival.  Click here to be enlightened.  Or something.

I was trying to figure out a way to properly showcase the exhaustion and chaos that comes with ACL, and then the unthinkable happened - exactly what I needed popped up via Nirvana.  Weird.  Anyhow, the song below can be found on the deluxe edition of Bleach, which be released by Sub Pop at the beginning of November (I desperately need the white vinyl version).  Enjoy.

:Nirvana - Scoff (Live At Pine Street Theatre):  Aside from the straight up fury put forth by Kurt Cobain and Co. here and how it directly coincides with the full on relentless force of ACL, I have to say the most impressive thing about this song is the sound quality.  I mean, for something recorded live in 1990 it's crazy how you almost can't tell it wasn't done in a studio until you hear clapping.  At the end.  On a related note, I so wish this band was still around.
