Today's Quick Mention:  Just so you know, the whole SOTO staff is taking a bit of a breather during Thanksgiving, so you'll only find content (music or film) here today and tomorrow.  But, once next week rolls around it's all about year-end lists.  Here's hoping you're ready.

I thought the Blood Brothers breakup from a  few years back had only yielded the somewhat tolerable Jaguar Love, but it would appear that another band has decided to rise from the ashes.  They're called Past Lives, and on February 23 they'll put out their promising debut, Tapestry Of Webs, on Suicide Squeeze Records.  Enjoy.

:Past Lives - Hex Takes Hold:  I was actually hoping to find something upbeat to get the week started, but I believe I may have gotten more than I bargained for with this wild number.  Expect a track with crazy vocals and an arrangement that's so all over the damn place you won't be able to decide whether or not you should dance or just jump aimlessly.  My vote is on the latter.
