Today's Quick Mention:  I only really know Lifter Puller by name, so it was a nice surprise yesterday to find out that Craig Finn's old band is making a comeback of sorts via reissues and the like.  Pitchfork has all the details here.  Definitely give it a look if you like the Hold Steady.

While I'm usually pretty good at remembering to take the necessary exploratory step from single to full length, on occasion there are bands that manage to slip through the cracks.  For instance, Grooms (formerly Muggabears), who were favorably placed in the podcast awhile back, and then promptly forgotten by yours truly.  Oops.  Rejoicer is currently available for you to snatch up.  Enjoy.

:Grooms - Acid King Of Hell (Guitar Feelings):  As was the case with the last song I shared (it's just below), this is all over the place with its energetic and intriguing mix of indie rock-enthused sounds and shifts.  Most of you will probably love it, but what to do if you find yourself on the side of the fence that only hears clutter?  Blame the weather and keep clicking play.  This is a band you should like.
