Today's Quick Mention: While I did manage to pull out a much needed
fantasy football win this weekend, I also went a rather atrocious and sad
8-7 in my game picks. Doesn't the world realize that it's only fun
when I win straight across the board? Geez.
My relationship with the Cold War Kids has only ever been one of
inconsistent affection, so when a friend of mine with Downtown Records
mentioned a new EP, I just shrugged my shoulders. Fortunately though,
she got me to progress from that to an actual listen, and I ended up finding
something worth recommending. The Behave Yourself EP is due
January 19. Enjoy.

War Kids - Audience Of One:
I think this might be one of the most comfortable and warm
tracks I've come across all year, and that is pretty great
news when you consider that my last memory of this band is
one of a silly song that annoyingly screeched "something is
not right with me" over and over for three minutes.
Way to get back to having some soul, CWK. I'm proud of
you.
