Today's Quick Mention: My work schedule absolutely sucks today,
but if it didn't I'd be trying to work some magic to see Brendan Small put
on a show as Dethklok tonight at the Austin Music Hall. That man is a
genius. Seriously. Just watch Home Movies for proof.
Helping me wrap up this hectic week is a very good local act - one that I
can never seem to catch live - known as Yellow Fever. Do yourself a
favor and make a note to look out for their long awaited and sure to be
spectacular self titled debut on Wild World
Records, which is
the Vivian Girls new imprint,
in early December. Enjoy.

Fever - Hell Fire:
I'm not sure why I didn't notice this before (it's really
pretty obvious), but Yellow Fever have quite a bit in common
with Saddle Creek's fantastic purveyors of indie rock, Land
Of Talk, and that is certainly a very good thing.
Expect to find a whole lot to love here. Unless, of
course, you're crazy. Then there may not be much for
you. Or whatever.
