Today's Quick Mention:  Is anyone actually going to Third Eye Blind tonight?  It just seems so bizarre to me that they're out touring and having a large enough draw to play a venue as big as Stubb's, which I think has a capacity of around 1200.  Explain!

I really thought I had previously shared something from today's artist, Social Studies, but I can't find anything with their name on it in my music library.  Oh well.  Perhaps I just heard them mentioned once?  Or something.  In any case, their Hour Glass EP is out now, and a new LP titled Wind Up Wooden Heart will released in the early part of next year.  Enjoy.

:Social Studies - We Choose Our Own Adventure:  "Washing the dirty guilt from our dirty lives"  As can be the case from time to time, there really isn't much of anything here you haven't heard before (probably the reason why the band sounds so familiar to me).  But, because of a few nifty lyrics, an inspired arrangement and some great vocal work from Natalia Rogovin, this really makes for a fantastic pop song.  Listen and love, my friends.
