Today's Quick Mention: Did anyone happen to see Ponytail at Red
7 last night? I really wanted to go, but after a long day of work and
trivia (where we totally got our third victory in a row) I had nothing left
and opted for sweet sleep. Still, I'd like to know if it was a good
time.
About a week ago I put up a new Cass McCombs song (it can still be found on
the front page, just scroll down a bit), and now I have another one from his
upcoming full length Catacombs, which the great Domino will release
on June 1. Personally, I think the tune below is better than the one I
had last time, so expect to be very impressed. Enjoy.

If you glanced at the title and guessed that it might be a
dreamy pop gem then you would be correct in your assumption.
Although, such a "guess" could mean you've listened to Cass
before and know that he tends to go the route of what he is
best at, which is slinky retro pop that fills the room like
it owns it. So you cheated. Fortunately, I don't
blame you, but only because being being informed on this
particular artist earns you all kinds of brownie points.
