Today's Quick Mention:  If you're searching for something to do tomorrow night (other than Pluckers trivia, of course) then I highly recommend that you head down to the Mohawk for Wye Oak and the Pomegranates.  It'll be my first time to see either act play, but I'm convinced it will be a great show.  Yeah?

The one and ONLY artist that I'm concerned with seeing at this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival is Rodriguez.  Why?  Because the guy is amazing - story, music, everything.  If you haven't heard the re-rissue of Cold Fact, which was near the top of my album list last year, then you must!  Also, be sure to grab Coming From Reality at record stores today.  Enjoy.

:Rodriguez - Heikki Suburbia Bus Tour:  I haven't heard all of Coming From Reality yet, so I don't want to say that his entire sound shifted between the only two records he ever made.  However, in regards to this song I do feel comfortable noting that the psych-folk that made up Cold Fact has been set aside in favor of lyrically driven pop rock.  It still works like a charm, but I have to admit it's a little strange (at first, anyway) to hear Rodriguez's voice over a breezy mix of guitars.
