Hooray!  This little gathering of movie information has finally returned.  Yes, I know that sounds silly since I write it, but I'm being honest when I say that I use this column just as much as you do to keep up with the happenings around Hollywood.

On another note, did you guys see the Where The Wild Things Are trailer?  That thing is inspiring.  I can't wait to see the flick at least 12 times.

Here's the news.  Read on.

- The Rundown -

Ben Affleck has let it be known that he and Matt Damon intend on doing something together after the next Bourne movie is shot.  Supposedly, there is already a script.

Tony Scott has signed on to direct the delightfully 80s-sounding action film Unstoppable, which is about a runaway train full of toxic chemicals.

Simon Pegg will voice a character in the totally unnecessary Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs.

Summit is planning a very odd Houdini movie.  Apparently it would bill the magician as a spy and spiritualist debunker that's a cross between Indiana Jones and Sherlock Holmes.

Marvel is reportedly hiring a slew of writers to help develop more of their properties.

The Thing prequel has been shelved so that the script can be rewritten.

Anne Hathaway will play the role of Judy Garland in Get Happy: The Life Of Judy Garland.

Chris Pine has reportedly been offered the role of Green Lantern.

Stranglehold, the game inspired by the movie Hard Boiled, is currently in development to be adapted to the big screen.

Tobey Maguire has acquired another property that will probably sit in development hell forever.  This one is called The Limit, and it's about Gran Prix racer Phil Hill.

James Mangold's next film is rumored to be a romantic comedy with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.

Nicole Kidman has agreed to join the already stacked cast of Woody Allen's next flick.  It's still untitled.

Matthew Vaughn has expressed interest in adapting Mark Millar's American Jesus, which is about the return of Christ and his battle with the Antichrist.

Universal Pictures is working on adapting the toy Major Matt Mason as a starring vehicle for Tom Hanks.

Zac Efron has reportedly pulled out of the Footloose remake.

No need to cry about 50 Cent being in the Expendables, he's been replaced by Terry Crews.

The Coen Brothers will direct a remake of True Grit that they penned themselves.

Three names are being seriously thrown around for the Three Stooges movie: Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro and Jim Carrey.
