Today's Quick Mention:  You would think that the announcement of the iPhone 3GS would make an iPhone lover like myself very happy, but it doesn't.  There just aren't enough new features to warrant the super high price tag that AT&T is going to slap on it in order to let me upgrade.  Talk about disappointing.

Fresh off putting out Laughing With, which I strongly believe will end up being the worst song of 2009, Regina Spektor has a new tune to help promote the upcoming release of Far.  To be honest, I didn't have much faith in the album after I heard the aforementioned travesty, but the track below is one quirky gem, and now I'm back to being interested.  Hurry up June 23!  Enjoy.

:Regina Spektor - Folding Chair:  Finally!  This weird pop song is exactly what I was expecting to get from Regina.  I love the hand claps, how peppy her vocals are, the sweet talk about how perfect her body is...and is that gorilla-esque grunting at 2:08?  Yes it is, and it makes no sense in the most glorious of ways.  Songbirds are a dime a dozen, and I think that anything they can do to stand out and show who they really are is the way to go.  I really hope the rest of Far is similarly random.
