Today's Quick Mention: On Friday I gave Animal Collective a try
live, and it was so terrible I had to leave early. Somebody please
take a moment to explain to me exactly why YOU like them, because I can't
figure out what the draw is. They just make noise, and it's not even
good noise.
I'd almost consider today's post one that steps on Leah's proverbial hip hop
toes, but I've been a fan of Sage Francis for so long that in my head he
isn't even in a genre. Nope, he's just a guy who doesn't know how to
make music I don't like. His latest effort is actually a mixtape
called Sick Of Wasting that features him and many of the Strange
Famous artists. Get it June 16. Enjoy.

Francis - Strange Fame:
First of all, don't come in to this thinking that it's one
of Sage Francis' more serious efforts, as he is most
certainly having a good time here. There's mentions of
previous promotional efforts, a quick shout-out to his
latest roster addition Curtis Plum, some social network
bashing and various other somewhat menial items. In
other words, it's for the fans. Use it to get your
week started off with a bit of swagger.
