Today's Quick Mention: I don't want to revisit Funny People
long enough to write a full review, but for those of you that are
interested, just know that it's a great flick until the third act, where it
completely falls apart and becomes incredibly tedious. Wait for the
DVD. Trust me.
It's been well over a year since Anna Ternheim last made an appearance here
at SOTO, so it was a rather pleasant surprise when I came across a new
single from the Swedish songbird. Do yourself a favor and make note of
the fact that on August 11 she'll be putting out a new full length on Verve
Forecast titled Leaving On A Mayday. Enjoy.

Ternheim - What Have I Done:
"You are my everything" I don't know exactly how much
of hand that producer Bjorn Yttling (Peter, Bjorn And John)
had in making the new album, but in listening to this song
it would seem that he at least took Anna's previously tame
approach and spruced it up. I like it. Be warned
though, you will feel a semi-incessant need to conjure up
comparisons to Lykke Li.
