Today's Quick Mention:  I know I've talked about it before, but receiving double digit movies in the mail yesterday made me want to remind you all about Warner Bros' Red2Blu program, which lets you trade in HD-DVDs (you actually get to keep the discs) for Blu-Rays.  Check it out if you haven't.

My appreciation for Imogen Heap has always been a middle of the road sort of thing (meaning that I like about as many songs as I don't), but after falling very far from in love with First Train Home, the debut single off her upcoming full length, I thought that maybe, just maybe it was time I moved on.  Oops.  Ellipse is due August 25.  Enjoy.

:Imogen Heap - Canvas:  The main problem that I have with the aforementioned First Train Home is that it feels like a giant pile of generic electro-pop.   This, while far from the realm of ground breaking, seems to at least be comfortably focused on what any Imogen Heap song should be - her beautiful voice and a well crafted arrangement that's heavy on the atmosphere.  If we're lucky most of the new LP will sound like this.
