Today's Quick Mention:  Did any of you happen to see the Star Wars-inspired  April's Fool joke (it involved a Tauntaun sleeping bag) that Think Geek pulled on their customers this year?  Well, apparently everyone wanted one so bad that the company is trying to put them into production.  Geeks are powerful.

The first time that I received word of a new These United States record it hadn't exactly been very long since their debut had graced my ears.  To their credit, they waited a bit longer this time, but Everything Touches Everything is still their third full length in 18 months, and that's just crazy.  Way to overachieve, guys.  Look for the LP on September 1.  Enjoy.

:These United States - I Want You To Keep Everything:  I don't know of many artists that could put out so much material in such a short amount of time and still sound fresh, but somehow These United States are able to get it done.  Seriously, it's as if they sit down and willingly agree that one part to the formula will be Jesse Elliot's all-American voice, another will be an appreciation for alt-country and then the rest will just consist of whatever they happen to be feeling that day.  So, what you get is familiar and inspired, and that's just snazzy.
