finally leaving office after an excruciatingly long eight-year run as
our nation's President. I mean, actually say that out loud - "George

In keeping with the refreshing feel of today, I have something new from the
very talented artist known as M Ward. In all honesty, I've always kind
of had a love/hate relationship with the man's work, but I have to say that
as I get older I find myself increasingly interested in whatever he has
going on. Merge will release Hold Time next month. Enjoy.

I have no way
of knowing if all of Hold Time is going to be this
upbeat and easily accessible, but in just listening to this
warm number it's easy to see the kind of effect Zooey
Deschanel (she's in the background here, go figure) has had
on him. This is the kind of pop music that belongs in
a romantic comedy montage. You know the one, it
comes right after the two people involved have had the
climatic fall out and then realize that they need each
other.
