Today's Quick Mention:  So, over the weekend I was sent a special link to stream the new Metric album, Fantasies.  I'm not allowed to share it (sorry), but I thought I would at least mention that I love it, and I expect you'll feel the same way once you get your hands on it April 14.

Bishop Allen is back!  Ok, I guess they haven't been gone long enough to warrant an exclamation mark, but I can't help that I'm excited about another set of tracks that might match the pure genius of Click Click Click Click, which is still a shining example of what indie pop should sound and feel like.  The always great Dead Oceans will release Grrr... on March 10.  It will be awesome.  Enjoy.

:Bishop Allen - The Ancient Commonsense Of Things:  If there's one thing that Bishop Allen does undeniably well it's creating the kind of music that makes you want to sing-a-long with it before you actually know any of the words, and this gem is certainly another example of that particular skill.  Consider yourself dead if you can't find anything in its three minute runtime to adore at least a little bit.
