Today's Quick Mention:  No way.  How the hell can Pitchfork really say that Outkast's B.O.B. was the best song of the last decade?  Bull SHIT.  And Animal Collective in the Top 10?  A Paper Planes remix over the original?  NO.  What a terrible way to wrap up the list.  Maps should have been #1.  Discuss!

While one of my favorite songs from last year was Oceanic by Imaad Wasif, I never actually heard any of the record that it came from.  Well, now Imaad has signed with Tee Pee and readied a new full length, and I definitely won't be missing out on it.  Actually, I've already been listening to it, and I can tell you it's pretty great.  The Voidist is out October 13.  Enjoy.

:Imaad Wasif - Priestess:  While the new album does feature a solid handful of slow paced gems like Oceanic, much of it sounds sort of like a stripped down version of the Secret Machines.  So, instead of a forever long prog rock endeavor, you get these impressive little 3-4 minute long tracks that are heavy on the atmosphere.  You will like this.  On another note, I need to see this guy live, and soon.
