Today's Quick Mention:  Holy Crap.  Had I known that Pitchfork's plan was to post up stream-only tracks and not bother actually writing anything about the last decade of music then I wouldn't have made it seem like such a big deal.  Bunch of lazy bastards.

Outside of the awesomeness that is Cherry Tulips, there really wasn't a whole lot on last year's Some Racing, Some Stopping that made me want to adore it to no end and claim Headlights as the greatest band on Earth.  Fortunately, that doesn't mean I can't be excited about their upcoming full length.   Expect to see Wildlife on store shelves via Polyvinyl on October 6.  Enjoy.

:Headlights - Get Going:  The press release had a bunch of comments from the band in regards to how they had various internal issues and that the new album was the toughest to make, but to be honest I think that's all useless information for music that can certainly speak for itself.  So, feel free to only recognize that this is a damn good pop rock song and that the band no longer sounds as if they're trying to only create the most dreamy tunes of all-time.
