Today's Quick Mention: So, my buddies in La Snacks have put together
their second Connect The Dots Festival. It'll be taking place in
Beaumont, TX on September, 11, 12 and 13, and it will feature a ton of great
bands. Do you yourself a favor and check it out
here.
I guess it's possible that I read too much into it, but I swear that the
Raveonettes were supposed to be releasing a string of demos via Twitter
throughout the summer. And what did we actually get? One song.
Back in June. Oh well. At least we have another new track to
preface the upcoming (and now titled) In And Out Of Control.
It's out October 6 on Vice. Enjoy.

Raveonettes - Suicide:
Admittedly, this is a fairly strange song with lyrics that
deal with a slew of dark topics and music that's about as
close to glimmering pop as I expect this duo to ever get.
It almost doesn't make any sense. But, as is usually
the case, they make it work. Just don't expect to feel
entirely comfortable about wandering around and singing this
out loud for all to hear.
