Today's Quick Mention: Well, despite our best efforts Team Dine
And Dash could only manage a third place finish at the Pluckers Trivia
Finals last night. Guess this means we're going to have to keep going
back and drinking and eating until we get another shot. Bummer.
A few weeks back I stuck a new Passion Pit track in the podcast and then
proceeded to mostly buy into all the hype that's been following them around
for a while. But, now another single has arrived and convinced me to
just completely fall in love. Make a note (if you haven't already) to
pick up their debut LP Manners when it gets released on May 19.

Pit - Moth's Wings:
One of the main reasons I hadn't completely jumped on the
bandwagon until now was that I had kind of suspected Passion
Pit would only ever deliver oddly vocalized, synth-drenched
dance numbers that might or might not have a hook.
Here though, they show off a different side, and
surprisingly it isn't filled with anything I just
mentioned. It's just a pretty little anthem that's
best suited for headphones.
