Today's Quick Mention: My wife's birthday is today! You
don't have to send a gift or anything, but I do recommend you pick out a
stranger, pretend they're
Sarah (or Dill Dozer, if you prefer her TXRD name)
and present them with a celebratory high five.
For as long as I can remember, the Gossip have been the kind of act that I
like to refer to as a singles band, which means that the albums never seem
to live up to the songs used to push them. So is it time for that to
all change? I have no idea, but as always I'm up for giving them a
shot to pull such a thing off. Music For Men will be out in
June. Enjoy.

While I may have an issue with how their full lengths play
out, I've never had any doubt about Beth Ditto's commanding
voice or the band's penchant for moving hips, and this song
just further strengthens that opinion. If you're a
dance punk (with a touch of 80s nostalgia) fan then should
expect to be delighted. Actually, as long as
appreciate a good time you'll dig this. Now get to
shaking it.
