There's a part of me deep down that really wants to get out and see Crank: High Voltage.  Yes, it looks beyond ridiculous, but sometimes you just need one of those films to remind you how far people are willing to go into the realm of batshit crazy.

Time for the news!  Read on.

Evan Spiliotopoulos has been hired to write the sequel to last summer's Wanted.  Before this he wrote Pooh's Heffalump Movie.  You connect the dots.

Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro have apparently abandoned the idea of doing a Hobbit movie and then another flick to bridge the gap between that and Lord Of The Rings.  Now, the Hobbit will span two films.

There's been some talk about a remake of Little Shop Of Horrors.  Supposedly, it wouldn't be a musical or a comedy.  I say no thanks.

In case you were wondering, Wolverine has been tracking well and, despite piracy, looks as if it will still have a good box office.  Go figure.

Based on what's been said from the people behind Ghostbusters 3, it's looking like it might end up being one of those "passing the torch" type stories.

Frank Marshall tweeted the other day that 2011 is when people can expect the next Bourne entry.

Sofia Coppola is finally ready to shoot another movie.  It's called Somewhere and is a dramedy about an out of control actor (Steven Dorff) who has to re-examine his life when he discovers he has a daughter (Elle Fanning).

Seth McFarlane recently hinted at a Family Guy movie.  Better yet, he said it might have some live action.

Remember Eli Roth's trailer for Thanksgiving that was attached to Grindhouse?  Well, he has said that he plans on shooting it right after he completes his big budget sci-fi movie.  No details on the latter yet.

Bruno has been re-edited so that it could land an R-rating instead of the NC-17 one that it was initially given.

Megan Fox has signed on to star in the Crossing, which is about a women who must smuggle heroin across the border in order to save her husband.

Lauren Shuler Donner has let it be known that she fully intends on making X-Men: First Class happen.  She even said it will be fun.  Yeah.

McG is looking to add another project to his already long list.  This time it's an adaptation of the musical Spring Awakening.

Nanny McPhee is getting a sequel.  This time it will be called Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang.  Emma Thompson is back and Maggie Gyllenhaal has just signed on.

Michael Chabon recently said that he was asked to do some touch ups on Andrew Stanton's John Carter Of Mars script.

Felicity Jones has joined the cast of Ricky Gervais' The Men At Pru, which is set in the 70s and deals with a group of people working at an insurance company.

Alexander Skarsgard has said that he believes he is no longer in the running for the role of Thor.

It isn't completely set in stone yet, but it looks as if Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme will both star in Weapon.  The film is reportedly about two of the world's greatest assassins.  Or something.  Actually, who cares?  Let's just see them kick ass together.
