Today's Quick Mention: What in the world happened with the
Crystal Castles show that got canceled in Dallas the other day?
Reasons seem to be ranging from the opening act (Vega) stealing equipment,
to the venue being ill-equipped and/or CC not acting professional. Which
is it? Confess!
One of my favorite sets from our SXSW day parties was put on by Deastro, so
naturally I'm all set to return the favor by making sure you know about the
new 7". Of course, it doesn't hurt that the song it features is also
really good. Pick it up on Five Three Dial Tone now, and then remember
to watch out for a new LP in June on Ghostly International. Enjoy.

Considering that the b-side of the new 7" is a song that's
actually on the upcoming full length Moondagger, I
was thinking that this might feature something a bit more
experimental. But, it's actually a fairly calm number
that mainly shines because of a crazy good hook.
You'll still want to dance, but don't expect to reach that
point of spazzing out that some of his other efforts have
inspired.
