Today's Quick Mention:  Can you believe what the Bears gave up to get QB Jay Cutler from the Broncos?  They practically Hershel Walker'd themselves by trading all of of those picks and the serviceable Kyle Orton.  No way it works out that well for them.

I can't seem to recall why I missed the Rumble Strips' boat the first time that it came around in 2007 with the album Girls And Weather (or, as I like to say, the only two things that matter!), but with a nice amount of buzz around their upcoming Mark Ronson-produced Welcome To The Walk Alone and a super catchy single, it's time to start rambling.  Look for the LP on June 8.  Enjoy.

:The Rumble Strips - London:  Where the White Rabbits track I posted yesterday had clearly been produced by Spoon's Britt Daniels, this upbeat pop tune has obviously been in the hands of Mark Ronson.  As expected (at least by me, anyway), it ended up working out well.  The band is still primed to get you up and moving and having a good time, but there's that added bit of spunk that stem's from Ronson's trademark lush touch.
