If I have a relatively quiet day at work I think that I may head on down to the other side of town to see Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist.  Have any of you caught a screening or anything?  The trailers have been solid, but the title annoys me and I'm a little concerned about its level of cheesiness.  In any case, the music part of my world today is all about Michael Nau and Whitney McGraw's Cotton Jones.  I've really been loving the work they've put out under the moniker in in their post-Page France days, so anything new they've got coming up will always be talked about here.  Now grab a pen and some paper so that you can make a note to remind yourself to purchase The Rio Ranger EP when Quite Scientific releases it in November!  Enjoy.

:Cotton Jones - Original Bones:  You know, if I didn't know any better I'd say that it seems as if the bits of sarcasm (who knew Michael had swagger?) and sudden fondness for vintage pop (I thought this act was geared towards the blues?) certainly makes the two of them sound like they're actually having a little fun here.  Maybe that's why I've been much more eager to get my hands this stuff than I was for Page France and/or the Broadway Hush.

This cover of Starflyer 59's I Was Seventeen is a very slow-burning number, so if you're thinking it will help you wake up or something then you might want to hold off on watching it.
