You know, I'm well aware of the
fact that we're only three weeks in, but this NFL season is quickly becoming
one of my favorites in recent years. Each Sunday/Monday has really
brought something different and, most importantly, been super exciting.
I hope you have all been watching! Speaking of you crazy kids, it
would appear that you're all slowly returning to me, which is nice.
So, to show my appreciation I'm sharing a new track from one of my favorite
pop acts, the Spinto Band. I honestly didn't even know they were
working on new material, so hopefully this is as pleasant of a surprise for
you as it was for me. The new full length, Moonwink, is
expected to hit store shelves on October 7 via Park The Van Records.

2005 was quite a long time ago, so if the guys had decided
to calm their sunny pop ways in favor of something else I
have to admit that I wouldn't have been taken off guard in
the least bit. But, as if to plant a huge smile on
just my face, it would seem that they decided to take things
as far as they could using only the words: lush, upbeat and
dreamy. Maybe some will scoff at the crisp but quirky
sound that resulted, but for my money I'm all in and anxious
for more.
I wasn't even
able to finish typing the band's name into Youtube before it
auto-recommended the gem that is Oh Mandy, which I
think certainly says something. Be sure to check it
out if you never have.
