Are you wonderful people still out there!?  I haven't seen a single comment since I got back, and the hits have been down a good a bit.  Come back to me, my dear readers.  We can have all kinds of fun.  I promise.  OK, with that bit of frazzle out of the way, I can get on with sharing a spectacular new track from Crooked Fingers.  Personally, I've never really taken the time to thoroughly explore anything outside of the singles that I've come across in regards to this part of Eric Bachmann's work, but I think I've finally arrived at a point in my life that has me ready to get it together.  So, feel free to recommend where to start while I wait for Forfeit/Fortune to fall ever so gracefully into my hands on October 7.  Enjoy.

:Crooked Fingers - Phony Revolutions:  Even though my knowledge of this group (aside from Bachmann, the stellar lineup also consists of Neko Case, the Silver Jew's Brian Kotzur and Tom Hagerman of Devotchka) isn't that extensive, I still was not prepared to be treated to three of the most delightful and refreshing minutes of 2008.  You have to hear this immediately.  Be warned though, it may cause your body to move in ways that you never thought possible.  Seriously.

Not only is New Drink For An Old Drunk one of the best song titles in the history of the world, but it's a pretty damn good tune.  Check out the moody video that was made for it.
