What a day!  Not only are we entering the downward slope part of the week, but I have brand new music from one of my favorite guilty pleasure acts, Electric 6.  I still remember browsing around and picking up their debut, Fire, on clearance at a record store back in my old hometown, and I certainly recall how it pretty much changed my life.  Well, sort of.  At that point I was definitely into searching out the latest moody indie (or not) rock tunes, so their penchant for inspiring sheer awesomeness probably helped me appreciate more than just the bands who  are so very good at weaving lush tapestries of despair and such.  Know what I mean?  Anyhow, Electric 6 have a new album titled Flashy that you should consider picking up.  Enjoy.

:Electric 6 - We Were Witchy Witchy White Women:  I believe that part of me would like to say that this is song that will convince some of you to take this band seriously, but that really isn't the case.  At all.  Actually, this is probably one of the more insane songs in their catalog.  Sure, there's the usual positive message buried in between the comedic approach of the lyrics and the wild wailing of the guitars, but all this talk about lesbians will make you break out in laughter before you do anything else.  I think that's all part of the point though, so just go with it and appreciate the good time that the band wants you to have.  Also, don't forget to throw up your rock fist.

I don't know how I missed the release of this crazy video for Formula 409, but I'm happy to be sharing it now.  Feel free to give it a couple of viewings.
